“That’s Terrorism!”

Our family was walking around in an outdoor mall recently, and the 10-year-old started asking about politics.

“Dad, what does it mean to be a Democrat?” was the question.

I resisted the urge to go off on a long rant, since most of it would have been lost on him anyway. But I did give him an answer:

“Well, Democrats believe that they know what is best for everyone else, and they use the government to try to control everything and everybody so that it takes place. That’s why they are for increased taxes, for government control of schools and businesses, and against the military or anything else that really helps people out.”

“But Dad! That’s terrorism!” he exclaimed.

Can anyone say it any better than that?
