About Me
I am Richard L. Matthews from the People’s Democratic Socialist Unrepresentative Republic of Decatur, Alabama. I am a member of the most discriminated against and vilified category of people in the United States of America. I am:

- a white male
- happily monogamous for 30+ years
- a Fundamentalist, Bible-believing Christian
- a creationist
- a graduate of Bob Jones University
- moral
- ethical
- non-alcoholic
- non-smoker
- politically conservative
- well-traveled
- well-informed
- well-read
- well-fed (obviously!)
- gainfully employed
- self-sufficient
I was born in 1958 (you do the math), so I’m old enough to know better.
I graduated from Grace Baptist High School in Decatur, Alabama, as the valedictorian of the 1976 (the 1st) graduating class.
I have been married to Lori since 1979, and we have 4 children.
I graduated from Bob Jones University in 1981 with a BS degree in Broadcast Engineering.
I work as an electrical engineer and IT department for Ropak Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Decatur, Alabama.
I currently serve as music director, Sunday School teacher, deacon, and school board member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and Christian School in Decatur, Alabama.
I am an amateur radio operator (KB4CAY is my call) and hold the position of secretary of the Decatur Amateur Radio Club.
The word “Tweezle” came from a friend of mine in high school. I used it as a nickname in college at Bob Jones University in the late ’70’s.
